Pinot and Traminer belong to the most ancient wine grapes cultivated in the Carpathian Basin since 14th Century. In the past, they used to be planted and vinified as field-blends. Pinot blanc makes the base of this Cuvée Pinot Tradition, while Pinot gris, Tramín červený (Red Traminer) and in case of the vintage 2016 a drop of Chardonnay, impart a multilayered perception and aroma complexity. The grapes come from Small Carpathian vineyards Tale, Bajzle and Grefty of the vigneron Milan Pavelka. The result of a team-work with the oenologist Edita Ďurčová is a limited edition representing Slovak singularity within the context of a Centro-European wine identity, epitomizing an ancient winemaking through a prism of modern time. Decent floral-fruity aromas with a touch of fresh bread, juicy mouthfeel and fuller body with balanced acidity make it a perfect gastronomy match.
