A limited product range representing Slovak singularity within the context of Centro-European wine identity, is a result of a team-work of vintners, winemakers and the oenologist Edita Ďurčová. Nitria, a unique new indigenous variety „designed“ to match Slovak terroir, is the essence of this blend. The grapes come from Karol Motyka’s vineyard Kozara in Šenkvice. Frankovka modrá (Blaufränkisch) epitomizes an ancient winemaking tradition in the Carpathian Basin, Cabernet Sauvignon and Alibernet add structure and complexity to the final blend. They all come from the family winery of Margita and Ladislav Šebo. Cuvée Nitria is a complex, elegant and fine wine with restrained fruit and spicy flavours, tangy acidity, supple tannins and long finish. Uncleared, unfiltered. May throw sediment. Serve at 14-16°C after a short aeration in a carafe, ideally with beef, mushroom risotto or pasta with cheese.
